Job Description:

Role Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse (RMN) to join our team in High Wycombe. The successful candidate will provide exceptional care for adults with eating disorders, ensuring their physical, emotional, and mental well-being. This permanent, full-time position offers the opportunity to work either day or night shifts, depending on your preference and availability.

Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality nursing care to adults with eating disorders in accordance with their individualized care plans.
- Conduct thorough assessments of patients’ mental health and physical health needs.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, while monitoring and managing any side effects.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including doctors, therapists, dietitians, and support staff, to provide holistic care.
- Offer support and education to patients and their families, promoting understanding and engagement in the treatment process.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with regulatory standards.
- Participate in care planning meetings, providing insights and updates on patient progress.
- Respond to medical and psychiatric emergencies, providing immediate and effective interventions.
- Promote a safe and therapeutic environment for patients, adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Engage in continuous professional development, attending training sessions and staying current with best practices in mental health nursing.

Essential Skills and Qualifications:
- Registered Nurse (RMN) qualification and current NMC registration.
- Experience working with adults with eating disorders or in a similar mental health setting.
- Strong clinical skills, including the ability to perform comprehensive assessments and develop effective care plans.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with patients, families, and colleagues.
- Compassionate and empathetic approach, with a commitment to delivering patient-centered care.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
- Knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and guidelines in mental health care.
