About the Role:As an Ophthalmic Theatre Nurse, you will play a vital role in ensuring the highest standards of care during ophthalmic procedures. You will work closely with experienced surgeons and other healthcare professionals to deliver exceptional patient care in a state-of-the-art theatre setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in ophthalmic surgeries, ensuring patient safety and adherence to sterile techniques.
- Prepare and maintain surgical instruments and equipment for a variety of ophthalmic procedures.
- Work alongside surgeons and anaesthetists to ensure smooth theatre operations.
- Provide pre-operative and post-operative care to ophthalmic patients.
- Ensure that the theatre environment complies with infection control and safety protocols.
- Qualifications: NMC Registered Nurse with experience in ophthalmic theatre care.
- Experience: Previous theatre experience, ideally in ophthalmology or related surgical specialties.
- Skills: Strong communication, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively within a team.
- Professionalism: A commitment to delivering high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment.
- Salary: £35,000 - £45,000 per annum, depending on experience.
