🌟 Registered Manager – Children’s Residential Home
📍 Location: Ilford, London
💷 Salary: £55,000 – £60,000 per annum (Full-Time)
🏠 Capacity: Up to 5 children

Are you an experienced and passionate leader looking to make a real impact in a small but growing organisation? We are seeking a Registered Manager to lead our brand-new Ofsted-registered children’s home in Ilford, supporting up to 5 young people with emotional and behavioural needs.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a supportive, forward-thinking company where your voice will be heard and your work will directly shape the lives of vulnerable children.

About the Role: As the Registered Manager, you will play a pivotal role in establishing and maintaining a high-quality, nurturing, and safe environment where children can thrive. You'll be responsible for ensuring the home meets and exceeds Ofsted standards, while also focusing on increasing occupancy and building a strong, stable team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead, manage and develop a team of residential care staff.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory and legislative requirements (Children’s Homes Regulations, Ofsted, etc.).
  • Promote positive outcomes for each child in your care, including education, emotional wellbeing, and independence.
  • Take responsibility for increasing occupancy in line with the home's capacity.
  • Create and maintain effective partnerships with local authorities, professionals, and families.
  • Deliver and continuously improve care plans, risk assessments, and safeguarding practices.

What We're Looking For:
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience working in a children’s residential care setting, with at least 1 year in a supervisory/management role.
  • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent) – or working towards it.
  • Proven experience with Ofsted inspections, with a track record of achieving ‘Good’ or ‘Outstanding’ outcomes.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
  • A passion for making a genuine difference in the lives of children and young people.
  • A confident, professional and compassionate approach to working with challenging behaviour and trauma-informed care.

Why Join Us?
  • Be part of a small, committed team where you’re not just a number – your voice and input will help shape the future of the service.
  • Opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of children and in the direction of the organisation.
  • Competitive salary and ongoing professional development.
