🧠 The Role We are recruiting for a Therapeutic Deputy Home Manager to join a specialist therapeutic residential children’s home supporting up to five children aged 4–16 (typically aged 4–11 on admission) who have experienced significant trauma.
This role is ideal for a committed, reflective and motivated professional who is passionate about therapeutic residential childcare and is looking to progress their career in management within a clinically informed setting.
🏡 The Service The home operates as a fully accredited Therapeutic Community, providing integrated residential care and education within a highly supervised and planned environment.

- Recover from trauma
- Develop secure attachments
- Build emotional regulation, trust and self-esteem
- Achieve positive long-term outcomes
- Support the Home Manager in the effective and safe running of the home
- Provide strong leadership and model high standards of therapeutic practice
- Lead, support and develop staff in their therapeutic work with children
- Promote a nurturing environment where good parental care is consistently modelled
- Support children to manage emotions, build healthy relationships and feel safe
- Participate in rota’d on-call duties
- Maintain safeguarding, regulatory and organisational standards
- Passionate about improving the emotional and mental health of children
- Confident in leading and supporting staff teams
- Interested in therapeutic practice and reflective working
- Motivated to continue developing professionally within a specialist service
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in residential childcare
- Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent)
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management (desirable) or willingness to work towards
- Full UK driving licence
- Willingness to complete Enhanced DBS checks and safeguarding interviews as part of safer recruitment
