About the Role š„ We are looking to recruit a Support Supervisor to lead, guide, and support teams of Support Workers in delivering a high-quality, person-centred service. This is a hands-on leadership role, combining direct support with supervisory duties to ensure positive outcomes for the people we support.
Working closely with the Service Manager and Support Coordinator, you will play a key role in staff development, rota coordination, care planning, and maintaining strong safeguarding practice across the service.

This role is based in Eastleigh and is realistically commutable from areas such as Southampton, Chandlers Ford, Winchester, Hedge End, Fareham, Romsey, Totton, and surrounding parts of Hampshire.

Key Responsibilities ā
- Support the recruitment, induction, and ongoing training of Support Workers
- Complete regular supervisions, in-practice observations, and annual appraisals
- Work alongside the Support Coordinator to manage staff rotas and ensure accurate allocation of support
- Lead team meetings and encourage open, effective communication
- Identify training needs and support staff development and competency
- Observe practice to ensure quality, compliance, and suitability
- Maintain and review care plans, support plans, and risk assessments
- Ensure accurate, timely record-keeping for both staff and individuals supported
- Act in line with safeguarding procedures, reporting incidents, accidents, and near misses
- Spend time on shift providing direct support and role-modelling best practice
- Support teams to achieve outcomes identified within care and support plans
- Contribute to service performance by meeting internal and external KPIs
- Participate in an on-call rota as required
- Work collaboratively with internal teams and external professionals
- Experience supporting people with learning disabilities
- Strong communication, organisational, and leadership skills
- Professional, compassionate, and confidential approach
- Ability to work flexibly across a 7-day rota
- Willingness to undertake a DBS check
- Level 3 Diploma in Health & Social Care (or willingness to work towards)
- Experience in a senior support or supervisory role
